Who I am

I'm Jorge Cepeda. I've spent 15 years designing management control systems in the financial industry, the last few years at a bank's investment holding company. Today I apply that experience to mid-size companies that need the same visibility and control, without enterprise-level costs or complexity.

Lumina Consulting is my firm, but it's also an operator. I don't deliver reports and walk away. We operate what we build: production pipelines with automated monitoring, AI agents with retraining, cloud infrastructure with SLAs. The systems detect failures before your team does, and we resolve them within the agreed SLA.

I'm also a professor of Advanced Data Analytics at Universidad de los Andes, and Microsoft Certified PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst).

Approach

01

Strategy + execution

I don't just build dashboards: I define what to measure and why. First I understand the decisions you need to make, then I design the solution that supports them.

02

Real automation

The flows I build are in production. Bots that run at 7 AM, agents that reply to messages, reports that arrive without anyone asking for them.

03

No dependency

I transfer knowledge. Your team can maintain what we build. I'm not looking for eternal contracts: I want the system to work without me.

04

Mid-size company focus

I understand the ERPs they use (Softland, SAP B1, Dynamics 365), the budgets they work with, and their real problems. I don't sell enterprise solutions to companies that don't need them.

How I work

Principles

We operate what we build

The pipelines, agents, and integrations I deliver are in production. Automated monitoring, model retraining, infrastructure with SLAs. If something breaks, the system catches it before your team does, and we resolve it.

Documentation with the client

I document alongside the build, with your internal team. Your people understand what every piece does, where it lives, and how to maintain it. No inherited black boxes.

No lock-in

I work on top of your systems, your cloud accounts, your code. Everything stays in your infrastructure and repositories. If one day you want to operate without me, you can, with no migrations or rescues needed.

Modern stack, realistic costs

Current tech (Python, Power BI, n8n, AI agents, serverless cloud) but with judgment: no over-engineering for an SME. Architecture scales to the size of the problem and the budget you have.

NDAs when applicable

I handle sensitive data (financial, HR, contracts). I sign NDAs and apply proportional security protocols: dedicated credentials, revocable access, encryption in transit and at rest when required.

Mid-size company focus

I understand the ERPs they use (Softland, SAP B1, Dynamics 365), the budgets they work with, and their real problems. I don't sell enterprise solutions to companies that don't need them.
